How to remove an App Store application from your iPhone 3G device.

1. Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen. The icons will start wiggle.

2. Tap the X in the corner of the application you want to delete.

3. Tap Delete.

4. Press Home to save your changes.

The App Store application and all its data will then be deleted off of your iPhone.

If the ‘x’ does not show, it means that you have only preinstalled apps (calendar, contacts, weather, etc.). the x only shows up for applications that you, yourself, explicitly installed (as per AppStore). Also, when icons go wobbly, you can move them around, like to the next page or in and out of the bottom bar.
