iPad: Wipe All Data Off Device

Whether you’re getting your iPad ready to sell, send in to repair or just to start new, there’s a simple way to wipe all of the data off the device. There’s actually an erase function within the settings. Here’s how to do it.

1. Tap Settings.

2. Tap General on the left pane.

3. Tap the Reset option.

4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

The iPad will then go through the process of cleaning all of the data and installed programs off the device.
