Internet Explorer: “Open in New Window” Doesn’t Work
Posted on Nov 18, 2007 under Internet Explorer Tips |When you click a hyperlink in an e-mail message, Web page, or right-click a hyperlink on a Web page and then click Open in New Window, you may experience the following problem:
a. Window opens a blank page.
b. You get an error “No such interface supported.”
c. You get an error “The current operation could not be completed because an unexpected error has occurred.”
Follow these directions to solve it:
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Mshtml.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Browseui.dll, and then click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run. Type regsvr32 Shell32.dll, and then click OK.
This article applies to Internet Explorer 5.01 to Internet Explorer 6.
