AVG 8 has an annoying feature called Safe Search that scans links to make sure they are safe. They appaear in Internet Explorer when performing Google searches.

It’s a nice feature for novices, but it only hogs resources if you’re an expert and can rely on your brain to avoid bad web sites. I disabled the Safe Search with these steps:

1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons…

2. Click AVG Safe Search and then click Disable. Click OK when you are done.

Now the Safe Search feature won’t annoy you anymore.
