iChat: Buddy List Doesn’t Appear

How to fix a problem where the iChat Buddy List is blank or doesn’t appear.

1. Open Activity Monitor from Application/Utilities and Quit iChatAgent.

2. Navigate to Users/username/Library/Preferences.

3. Trash the com.apple.ichat.AIM.plist and com.apple.iChatAgent files.

4. Restart iChat and your Buddy List should now appear.

Word 2008: Set Password to Open Document (Apr 17, 2008)
Word 2008: Password Protect Changes (Apr 17, 2008)
Word 2008: Enable Track Changes Mode (Apr 17, 2008)
Leopard: Enable/Disable Password Prompt (Apr 14, 2008)
Leopard: Enable/Disable Firewall (Apr 14, 2008)

This technique worked one time for me but when the problem occurred repeatedly it stopped fixing it. Any suggestions?
