If you no longer want an application on your HTC Hero, you can uninstall it from the Android OS.
1. Press From the Home screen, press Menu.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Applications.
4. Tap Manage applications.
5. Tap the application you want to uninstall.
6. Tap Uninstall.

You will have to root the phone then use Titanium Backup to remove pre-installed apps. Check out http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/ for instructions on rooting.
I have a Hero H9 cell phone and also want to uninstall some applications that I don’t even use. Can anyone tell me if is there any application (for Windows 7 or XP), that I can connect to the phone and remove what I don’t want?
Or, if I have to flash it with another OS, what would that be?
Thanks in advance.
i have an other problem too..i m unable to connect my htc hero to my laptop . i have window 7 can u help me with that.?
thanks
You can’t uninstall the included apps. You’d have to flash your phone with another OS to get rid of them.
Some apps are not able to be uninstalled with this method like some original apps that came with the phone. Is there a way to uninstall those? I downloaded a third party app manager and it gave me an error trying to uninstalled those default apps like the original messenger.
thanks for all useful information!
