HTC Hero: Lock Screen With Draw Pattern

You can lock the screen of your HTC Hero screen with a draw pattern. Here’s where to set the feature in the Android software.

1. From the Home screen, press Menu.

2. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Security.

4. Tap Set unlock pattern.

5. Read the info, then tap Next when ready.

6. See the pattern, then tap Next.

7. Draw the screen unlock pattern with your finger by connecting four or more dots in a row.

8. Tap Continue.

9. Draw the same pattern again.

10. Tap Confirm.

      THANK YOU!! they need to fix this on the htc hero. i have spent the last two damn days trying to get into my phone because i have no clue what my password is. i know my pattern, but i pressed forgot pattern?? and i cant remember the password to my gmail. so i cant get into the phone.. veryy frustrating. and NOBODY seems to know what to do???

      hello!
      i have the same problem with my htc here,my screen it’s loacked,i can’t remember the password anymore.i tryed with pressing the OFF and BACK buton on the same time,but no succes.can anyone help me with this problen?

      enter your username and then enter ‘null’ as the password, this will unlock the screen without losing any details.

      Had the same problem nibic. what i did was to reset my htc to factory settings. hold OFF button and BACK button at the same time in a few seconds and it will reset whole damn thing. u lose everything but u get to use ure phone again…

      i cant access my phone due to the fact that i had the pattern lock and i forgot that. so then they sent me to the part where you enter in your gmail and password but i forgot that to. so im writting you to ask you how do i access my account because it doesnt have any futher info .

      That is to UNLOCK the screen (read your own post) NOT lock it!

      I know my pattern, ,but i pressed Forgot pattern?
