HTC Hero: Add Pauses to Phone Number
Posted by Mitch on Oct 13, 2009 under BlackBerry Tips | 2 CommentsIf you need to make the dialing pause when placing a call on your Andoid powered HTC Hero smartphone, you can type a comma (,) to make this happen. The more commas in a row, the longer the pause. You can do the same thing when editing a Contact. Just add a comma in the phone number where you want the pause.

I found on my HTC Hero (Sprint Version) that the ,(comma) would cause an error and the phone wouldn’t dial the phone number correctly. Instead on the on-screen keyboard using when adding contacts there is a “P” that you use to indicate the pause. I am happy to report this works without error.
Also, if you are automating a voicemail prompt or the like, I found that “#” is also allowed.
Thanks
