Enjoy your tunes and transfer music to the Amazon Kindle Fire. The Kindle Fire supports non-DRM AAC, MP3, AMR, MIDI, OGG, WAV, and MP4 file formats for music. There are a couple of different ways you can copy your music files over to the device. One method involves uploading your files to Amazon’s Cloud service, the other option involves transferring files to the memory of the device. Here’s how to do both.
Transfer Music to Amazon Cloud
1. From the computer where you music library is located, visit Amazon MP3 and click the Amazon Cloud Player link.
2. Click Upload to your Cloud Drive.
3. The application will search your computer for available music files in your iTunes and Windows Media Player library. Once it’s finished, check the files, artists or albums you wish to upload to the cloud, then click Start Upload.
Note: This process can take a long time even on a fast Internet connection.
4. From the Home screen of the Kindle Fire, select Music.
5. Select Cloud at the top of the screen, and the music you have uploaded to Amazon Cloud will be available to play.
Transfer Music Files to Device Memory
1. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable. Since it doesn’t come with one, you will need to either purchase one or use one you may have from another device like your smartphone.
2. Once the Kindle Fire is connected to your computer, unlock the screen and it should show the screen below. If not, disconnect the cable and try again (I had to try 3 times before it worked). Windows users should know that the OS will attempt to install a device driver and fail. This is fine and shouldn’t have an effect on performing these steps.
3. The Kindle Fire will now show up as a removable disk drive. Windows users can look under Computer/My Computer. Mac users can look on the desktop. Open the KINDLE drive. You will see a folder named Music. You can drag and drop any of your music files to this folder.
If you use iTunes, you can even drag and drop music directly from the iTunes window over to the Music folder.
4. Once you have completed copying files, tap Disconnect on the device, and detach the USB cable.
5. Select Music from the Home screen.
6. Select Device at the top of the screen, and all of the music you copied will be available to play on the Kindle Fire.

i transferred music files to my daughters kindle fire via the cloud, but 5 of the songs wouldn’t transfer due to matching conflicts, I transfer them via usb and they come up 0 min and i receive a playback error. Any Help??

Your information is right, but the problem is that Kindle Fire the whole applications and actions are for US customers only. I bought my Kindle in the Houston Airport . Now I have noticed that it was a mistake to buy it this tablet. I dont know amazon not open their mind.
