How to Shut iPod Nano Off

For the first two months I owned my iPod Nano, I would leave it on until it just shut itself off. I didn’t know how to do it myself, and I thought that was just the way the device was built. I constantly had to recharge my battery. Finally I figured out that you could simply press and hold down the Play/Pause button for about 3 seconds and the device will shut off.
