How to Remove “My Magazine” from Galaxy S5 Home Screen

I don’t know anybody who uses the “My Magazine” feature on the Samsung Galaxy S5. The feature appears when you swipe all the way to the left on the Home screen. You can remove My Magazine from the Home screen and prevent it from appearing with these steps.

  1. Tap and hold your finger on a blank area of the Home screen for about 2 seconds until options appear.
  2. Select “Home screen settings” at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

  3. Uncheck “My Magazine“.

After these steps, the My Magazine feature will be turned off on the Galaxy S5 and it will no longer appear when you swipe all the way to the left.

This tutorial also applies to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Thank You for posting how to disable that annoying My Magazine. I thought I was going to throw the next magazine that popped up out the window lol. I don’t understand why it and others are preloaded and we cannot delete them. I never use any of them. It is just a pure waste of space and very aaaaaaannnnnnooooyyyying. Thanks

Why is my “turn off” button grayed out and thus I can’t turn it off?
