Posted on Nov 18, 2007 under Windows Tips |How to check to see if a user has administrator rights while they are logged into the system.
A user will have administrator rights if they have the ability to change the computer name of their computer.
To check for admin rights:
Right click on MY COMPUTER and select PROPERTIES
Check under COMPUTERNAME
If everything is grayed out there and the Computer Name cannot be changed, the user is not logged in with administrator rights.
