Hard Reset HTC Droid Eris

Perform a hard reset on your HTC Droid Eris. These steps will clear all data and settings off the device.

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the Volume Down and Send buttons.

2. Press the Power button.

3. Follow the instructions to complete the hard reset.

    i need help understanding how to do the whole hardfor ht reset htc phone droid because my locked up and it wont take my google info and so i canit unlock my phone, and i have had it done before where they wiped my phone clear.

    my droid eris locked up due to too many pattern attempts. It asked for a gmail acct and password. I cant seem to remember my password and google is giving me 50 questions. How can i get past this or just reset my phone.

    the droid eris is the worst fone ever…ive had it for 4 days and ive had to hard reset it twice this blows!

    Okay , so my eris wont let me delete my messages and when i attempt to it freezes and i have to turn it off ! I have to do a hard reset ? And i’m not sure how , anyone know ? & if i do this what alll information will i be loosing ? music , pictures, contacts ?

    casey- reboot the phone. then make it so your screen doesn’t have a time out and only delete one thtread at a time. leave it alone for a few minutes and that should do the trick. i just had to do that with mine for a 2000 msg thread.

    i did the hard reset to clear the messages and no my phone has a red triangle with an ! in the middle. can someone email me with some help thanks

    I got the triangle as well. I removed the battery, reinstalled it, and the phone booted up normally.
