With Internet Explorer 8 set to come out with features that thwart with Google ads, Google is firing back with a browser of its own called ‘Chrome’. The browser has been touted as not only one that can quickly display web pages, but run applications quick as well.

Certainly Google will use many of their web-based applications as leverage. Anybody using the Internet uses Google, and they can make sure that every user knows that their Chrome browser is available to them. Google has the ability to completely take over the browser market if they can get the interface looking as clean and responsive as their search engine and the applications they offer.

The browser is expected to be available for download September 2, 2008.
