G1: Change Ringtone For Incoming Email Messages
Posted by Mitch on Aug 15, 2009 under Android Tips | 1 CommentThe setting to change the ringtone for incoming emails isn’t controlled in the global settings of the G1 Android powered smart phone. Find it with these steps:
1. Open the application slider, then open the Email application.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Select Ringtone.
5. Choose a ringtone.
You can chech the Vibrate box if you’d like the phone to vibrate also when you receive an email.
I want incoming emails from a specific account to give me a unique indication or ringtone….is it possible to do this on my G1. Say I want the emails coming from a specific email id to give a unique ringtone or if I only get a ringtone when this specific emails arrive and not for all other emails…is this possible…if yes-how??? pls help.
