Droid Turbo: How to Uninstall Apps

Remove unwanted apps from your Motorola Droid Turbo smartphone using these steps.

Remove Pre-installed Apps

Pre-installed apps won’t provide you with an uninstall option. They are built into the firmware. You can “freeze” pre-installed apps though. “Freezing” an app will hide the icon on the Home screen and app slider.

Freeze an app using these steps.

  1. Tap the app slider at the bottom center portion of the Home screen.
  2. Select “Settings“.
  3. Choose “Apps“.
  4. Swipe over to “All“.
  5. Choose the app you wish to freeze, then select “Disable“.

Remove Downloaded Apps

Apps you have downloaded and installed that are not pre-installed can be uninstalled from Settings these steps.

  1. Tap the app slider at the bottom center portion of the Home screen.
  2. Select “Settings“.
  3. Choose “Apps“.
  4. Swipe over to “All“.
  5. Choose the app you wish to freeze, then select “Uninstall“.

Remove Apps Installed Via Google Play

Apps installed using Google Play can also be removed from within the Play Store app.

  1. Open the “Play Store” app.
  2. Tap the “Menu” button at the upper-left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “My apps“.
  4. Choose the app you wish to remove, then select “Uninstall“.

That’s everything there is to know about removing apps from the Motorola Droid Turbo. Use these steps regularly and keep the device free of useless clutter.
