If your Dish Network receiver is experiencing problems such as no picture, sound or an error code such as 005, resetting the box is usually the first step to try to clear up the problem.

To reset the unit, simply press and hold the Power button for about 10 seconds. The unit should then reboot and hopefully the errors or problems are cleared up.
