Disable Vista Balloon Tip Popups

Disable the annoying Windows Vista popup tip and reminder balloons.

1. Click START and type gpedit.msc and press ENTER.

2. Go to User Configuration–>Administrative Templates–>Start Menu and Taskbar

3. Right-click on Remove Balloon Tips under Start Menu items, and select Properties.

4. Select Enable and click OK.

Close Group Policy Editor and now the balloons should no longer appear.

gpedit.msc does not exist

The error I receive in Windows Vista Home Premium is the following: “Windows cannot find ‘gpedit.msc’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.”

I would say it doesn’t exist in the Home Premium version of Vista.
