Disable Login Attempt as Guest When Connecting to Network Computer
Posted on Nov 19, 2007 under Windows Tips |When you try to connect to a network resource, the login attempt is made with the Guest account instead of the account you’re logged in as.
You can disable this by performing the following steps:
1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
2. Double-click Administrative Tools
2. Go to Local Policies > Security Options
3. Check the Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts
4. Set it to Classic - local users authenticate as themselves
