Disable the Office 2007 message that warns you about hyperlinks.

Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data.

1. Click on the start button and key in REGEDIT and press Enter.

2. Click the plus sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
then Software
then Policies
then Microsoft
then Office
then 12.0
then Common

3. Click once on the Common key, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click Key.

4. Type Security, and then press ENTER to name the key.
5.On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

6. Type DisableHyperlinkWarning, and then press ENTER to name the entry.

7. In the right pane, right-click DisableHyperlinkWarning, and then click Modify.

8. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, click Decimal, and then type 1 under Value data.

9.. Close REGEDIT and restart the computer.


If you still get the message try these steps:

1. Double-click My Computer.

2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.

3. On the File Types tab, select the appropriate file name extension (for example, WMV) in the Registered File Types box, and then click Advanced.

4. Click to clear the Confirm open after download check box, and then click OK.

5. In the Folder Options dialog box, click Close.
