Convert FLAC Files to MP3
Posted on Apr 23, 2008 under Software Tips |There are many ways to convert FLAC files to MP3 in Windows. Which one is the easiest though? Well there is a web site that will convert almost anything, including those formats. It’s very easy, but it’s also very slow. It converts only one file at a time.
For faster conversions, your best bet is to do the following:
1. Download and install dBpoweramp.
2. Download and install the FLAC codec for dBpoweramp.
3. Click Start > Programs > dBpoweramp Music Converter > dBpoweramp
Batch Converter
4. Select the folders where your FLAC files are located. Then check the files you wish to be converted. Click Convert after they are all selected.

5. Switch the format in the Converting To option to mp3. Select other options as needed. Click Convert when you are ready.

6. The software quickly converts all of the FLAC files to MP3. Click Finish when it’s done.

Another Option
There is another popular way to convert FLAC files to MP3 format using Winamp and iTunes. It takes longer though because you have to convert the file to WAV format first using Winamp and then use iTunes to convert the WAV to MP3.
