You receive an error message:
Localization.xml cannot be found
When you install World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.
First try cleaning the CD and see if that helps. If the problem persists, try copying the entire contents of the installation CDs to your hard drive:
- Insert CD1 of the Burning Crusade.
- Make a new folder on your desktop and name it something like “Burning Crusade Installer”.
- Open up the disk itself:
- Windows users should go into My Computer, right-click the CD, and choose “Open”.
- Mac users can simply double-click the CD on their desktop.
- Go to the Edit menu and choose “Select all”, so all the files are highlighted.
- Go to the Edit menu and choose “Copy”.
- Open the new folder you created on your desktop.
- Go to the Edit menu and choose “Paste”.
- The files should copy from the CD to that folder.
- Once this is complete, please put in the next install disk.
- Open up the disk (using the process in step 2 above).
- Select the file called “Installer Tome” with the number at the end.
- Go to the Edit menu and choose “Copy”.
- Open the new folder you created on your desktop .
- Go to the Edit menu and choose “Paste”.
- The “Tome” file will copy over.
Repeat steps 8-14 to get the “Installer Tome” files off of the remaining install disks. If you receive any error while copying any of these files, that typically indicates damage to the disk.

I have used both programs, and TaxCut blows TurboTax out of the water.
My taxes are very complex each year, so I needed a lot of help from the software I chose to do my taxes. I orignally purchased TurboTax and immediately started punching in data. However, the help file was very hard to search and most of the data I needed was non-existant. The software skips screens and it’s often difficult to find that one magic screen you are looking for so you can re-enter data. I swear it seriously has a mind of its own sometimes. I like to consider myself fairly sharp when it comes to computers. For some reason. TurboTax just makes me feel stupid.
I used TurboTax for 3 years and expected revisions to fix these small problems I had with the software. In disgust, I finally switched to TaxCut and found what I had been missing. The help file is filled with the information I had been looking for and it’s all easily searchable. I can instantly find the screens I’m looking for also.
Not only was I happier with the performance of TaxCut, I was also pleased they didn’t start sending me a million things in the mail like Intuit did. I now get junk mail for every one of Intuit’s products at least twice a month.

Lego Star Wars II error1330. A file that is required could not be installed because the cabinet file F:\defaul~1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate the cabinet file is corrupt. Error 3 was returned by Win Verify Trust.
Work around #1
- copy the contents of the disk to a folder on your hard drive,
- rename the Defaul~1.cab to x.x,
- run the setup program and wait for the point where it says it can’t find the file and prompts with “Retry”
- while the prompt is still up, go rename the file back to Defaul~1.cab
- return to the setup program and click “Retry”.
Work around #2
Copy the contents of the CD onto your hard disk (for example “C:\sw2″)
- Rename the file “LEGO Star Wars II.msi” to “LEGO Star Wars II.msi.orig”
- Download the signature-less msi file
- Unzip the downloaded file into the directory where the original file was located. This will put the new .msi file in place of the old one
- Run Setup.exe in that directory
- Hopefully, the install will proceed to completion. Note that it seems to take quite a few minutes to complete the full install, due to the time it spends uncompress the .ogg sound files. If it seems to be hung, wait 10 or 15 minutes before giving up hope.”

When trying to install Visual Studio 2003 or 2005 you might get the following error “Windows files must be installed for your installation to proceed” because the Windows 2000 Frontpage Extensions are failing to load. Follow these steps to fix this problem:
Copy the files Fp4autl.dll, Fpencode.dll, and Fp4awel.dll from the \i386\Fp40ext.cab file on the Windows XP or Windows 2000 CD-ROM to the \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\40\Bin folder on your computer.
If you are prompted to overwrite files do so, as the files may be corrupt or a different version than the installation requires.

When installing an application, you might get “Error 1324 The Folder Path Contains an Invalid Character”. This is usually caused by an invalid character in the User Profile.
Determine if your user profile contains an invalid character by navigating to C:\Windows\Profiles\Your Profile, where Your Profile is the name of your user profile, such as James Jones. If your profile contains characters, such as “/”, for example, James/Jones, your profile may be damaged. Windows should not allow you to create a user name with invalid characters.
There are two possible fixes: You can turn off user profiles and then run the installation or you can install the software under a different user profile. Turning off user profiles installs the software for all users of the computer. Installing the software under a different profile may install the software for only that profile.
To turn off user profiles, follow these steps:
