Many Palm Pre owners are upset that the device will not sync with local versions of Microsoft Outlook. Without the ability to sync Outlook email, contacts or tasks, the device is useless. Older Palm devices always came with this capability built in, but that is no longer the case.

To Sync with local Outlook data, you will need to obtain a third-party solution called PocketMirror. Try the free trial to get a feel for it. If you like it, it does cost money to upgrade to the full version.
PocketMirror for the Pre only works with Outlook 2003 and 2007.
