So you’ve taken the snippet of code on YouTube to embed a video so that it can be added to your web page. By default it doesn’t start automaticaly. There is a tweak you will need to make to the code to enable it to start automatically upon page load.
Here we have a normal YouTube embed code:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/K6BZp4dFfnM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/K6BZp4dFfnM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
To make it start automatically, we take the part with the actual link to the video:
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/K6BZp4dFfnM&hl=en&fs=1&"
and we add autoplay=1 to the end of the line, before the quote.
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/K6BZp4dFfnM&hl=en&fs=1&autoplay=1"
Now the video will start automatically on your web page.

1. Scroll down to the bottom of your Facebook page.
2. Click the link on the left side that has your language (i.e. English).
3. Change it to English (Pirate) beta.

Thanks to Larry Jennings for pointing this out.

I tend to not trust many of the things that are sent to me on Facebook. One of them is Application requests. My Inbox is filled with invitations to apps that I will never take action on. Luckily, there is a way to clear them from your Inbox all at once.
1. Login to your Facebook account.
2. On the right pane, Click the option next to Requests that says See All.
3. In the same spot that See All appeared, the option is now Ignore All. Click Ignore All.
4. Check the Application requests box, then click Ignore these requests.

Note: This procedure will not prevent application requests from being sent in the future. It will only remove the existing application requests that are currently in your Inbox.

I like Facebook, but many of my friends participate on games, quizzes and other apps and post the notifications from them over and over again. That can get annoying after a while. I really only care about status notifications. Luckily, I learned that you can hide these application notifications.
I never noticed it before, but there is a triangle on each of these application notifications that says Hide. Simply click on it and there is an option to hide future notifications from that app. You can hide the notifications from a that person as well.

It’s also worth noting when you use some of these applications, you are putting your computer and Facebook account at risk.

So you just have to see the profile of that hot blonde on Facebook, but her profile is set as Private. How do you see it? Here’s a method that usually works.
1. From the page were your search results appear, click Send a Message for to send that person a message.
2. Send something that they wouldn’t be able to resist replying to. Perhaps something like “I think I found your ID. Is it missing?”.
3. Sit and wait for a response. If they respond you will be able to see their profile for a period of 24 hours. Most people don’t know this and will reply.
This is probably the easiest method. There are other ways to view private profiles though.

Some people believe that the size of the font is too small when you print out an email in Gmail. You can increase it in Internet Explorer and Firefox with these steps:
1. Open the email and click the Print All link on the right side.

2. Cancel the print job when it starts automatically.
3. Click File > Print Preview.
4. At the top of the screen, you can switch the Zoom to a percentage higher than 100%. The higher the percentage, the larger it will print.

5. Click the Print icon.
Your printout should print with larger words.
Note: Internet Explorer and Firefox both have this feature, however I have been unable to perform these steps in Google Chrome.

I recently encountered a problem on one of my PC’s where I couldn’t download any attachments in Yahoo Mail. Instead, I would get an error:
The requested URL was not found on this Server
The type of attachment didn’t matter. Every one did this. Luckily, I found that my Trend Micro anti-virus application was causing the problem. In Trend Micro, I had to go to:
Virus Controls > Protection Against Viruses > Settings
and uncheck the box that said Threats in Web mail attachments.
Now I can download attachments in Yahoo Mail with no problem.
If you are using a different anti-virus program and you have this issue, there might be a similar setting. Yahoo has built in anti-virus scanning, so two anti-virus software packages trying to scan your email attachments is probably not needed.

Are you aware that if your privacy settings on Facebook is set to My Networks and Friends, that it’s possible for almost anybody to see your Facebook page? I wasn’t aware that certain people could see my info. When a co-worker of mine became a part of my network, it was a shock. Ensure your settings are set properly if you don’t want your Facebook info to get into the wrong hands.
1. Mouse over Settings in the upper-right corner and select Privacy Settings.
2. Click Profile.
3. Set your privacy settings as desired. As you can see, I’m very private. I set mine to Friends Only.

Today I was trying to suggest a friend on Facebook to another one of my friends. I opened the friends’ profile and the link to Suggest friends for… wasn’t there. It’s normally located under the main profile photo.

This link only appears like the above caption if the friend is new to Facebook. If a friend has been on Facebook for a while, the link appears way to the bottom left of the profile.

It sounds dumb, but it took me forever to find this option.

I get paranoid at times. My email account is valuable to me as it includes all kinds of information. It is also a gateway to many passwords. I fear that somebody may get my password somehow and try logging into my Gmail account. Luckily Google has included a feature that lets you see the last 5 IP addresses that have logged into your system.
Just login to your Gmail and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. You will see a link for Details.

This will bring up a list of the last 5 connections made to your Gmail account.

You can look at the IP Addresses to see if they match ones that your computer would use. You can also see the times the account was logged into.
