BlackBerry Storm: Separate Email and SMS Text Messages Applications
Posted under BlackBerry Tips | 6 CommentsWhat a cool tip this is! I hated that the BlackBerry Storm shared the same application for SMS text messages and email messages. I found a setting where you can set them to be different applications.

1. From the main screen, press Menu.
2. Open the Messages application.
3. Select Menu > Options.
4. Set SMS and Email Inboxes to Separate.
5. Press Menu > Save.

Didn’t do anything to resolve the issue on my Storm. Maybe if you have a theme installed that seperates messages. But just changing to “Theme Controlled” by itself does nothing.

dave, read point 4 again. it says to set it to “separate” not “theme controlled”

Dave,
Also there are some themes that don’t support it. If you can’t get this feature to work, try switching your theme as well as switch it to SEPARATE.
