Hey, my blackberry storm 9500 is getting on my nerves! it keeps coming up with "app error 523" reset, so when i press reset, phone turns off, reboots, come on fine and then BAM, right back where i started!! P*****g me off now!! cant get in to anything on my phone. has anybody come across a solution for this? like, pressing some buttons to do a master reset or something? or is this going to be, taking it vodafone/blackberry and b***h slapping them?! any help would be most appreciated!!

Goto Options – Security Options – Security Wipe.

Then select the options. There will be checkbox
1. To wipe contact and emails
2. All installed Applications
3. All media files

Choose the options and then type “blackberry” and hit the enter. Give a couple of minutes then the process starts to wipe ur handheld device. It ask for the confirmation and then all set!

Only problem is after you type ‘blackberry’ and hit the enter key, ""ENTER KEY IS ARROW BUTTON"" it takes a minute to confirm. Be patient!

Ok well I can help some people here with a lot of their problems. Firstly for all the people with Java problems and other issues that want to just wipe their phone completely download BBSAK (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife) and the latest firmware for your phone. Be sure that you are getting the firmware for YOUR phone and not for another one. Google "latest firmware for Blackberry Bold" for example. BBSAK can completely wipe your phone and everything on it to such a level that when the phone boots up it simply says NO OS FOUND.

Doing this will fix most problems related to corrupt files and other software errors including the problem where people that you phone can sometimes hear you or not. In fact ALL weird problems go away with the latest OS.

I have the continuous reboot error and this solution can't fix that because the phone reboots too fast for me to use it. Battery pulls don't work. I'm stumped. Looks like I'll have to take it to the repair shop which means I have to wait 6 weeks for it.... Now that sucks.

Good luck. If anybody finds another way to reset the phone from a dead start please let me know.

Help needed !! I have just bought the Blackberry Storm 2 (9520) and when starting her up I inadvertently chose the Enterprise Options in the email selection thinking this would be a smart way to retrieve my work email... not the case and now I just want my choices back so I can choose the OTHER option for hotmail , G mail etc etc etc . When I do a factory reset either by using the swipe function in security or by pulling the battery whilst powered on I still cant get back to the original two choices , the wizard only asks me to go through the enterprise set up with account details and administrator codes. I do not want this option but do want the hotmail option back.... can anyone suggest I do this?
Many Thanks In advance
