BlackBerry: Error: “Message content exceeds limit”
Posted by Mitch on Jan 29, 2010 under BlackBerry Tips | No CommentToday, I tried to send an MP3 file from my BlackBerry Curve 9700 smartphone. Whenever I tried to send it, it would kick an error message up that said:
Message content exceeds limit
The file was only 550kb in size. I sent one that was 285kb in size just fine earlier in the day. I asked myself if there was a way around this. Could there be an option that allows larger messages to be sent?
After hours of searching the BlackBerry OS and the Internet, I haven’t found a solution. It appears that there is a 300kb limitation on the files you can send via text message. The only thing you can do is use a workaround like email or BlackBerry Messenger.
