BlackBerry Curve: Change Default Ringtone For Incoming Calls

Probably the most common question I get for the BlackBerry Curve is ‘How do I change the default ringtone for my incoming calls?’. It’s a little tricky, but here’s how:

1. Press Menu and select Profiles.

2. Select Advanced.

3. Select the profile that is marked Active.

4. Select Phone.

5. Change the Ring Tone field to the desired setting. Notice there are separate settings for Out of Holster and In Holster.

6. Press Escape and then select Save.
