The thing that controls whether or not your device vibrates is called the Notification Profile. You can switch between Notification Profiles by pressing and holding the Mute button.

Hi,
this hint is not correct: if you press and hold the mute button, BlackBerry Bold goes to the “standby mode” (where only calls can be accepted, otherwise it does not react to the buttons and trackball).
The better solution is to go to Menu->Profiles, edit current profile and set the number of vibrations to 1 (it can’t be completely switched off, or am I wrong?)
