BlackBerry Bold 9700: Adjust Screen Backlight

If you lower the screen lighting to a dimmer level on your BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone, you can save considerable battery power. Here’s how to adjust the setting.

1. From the home screen, press the Menu button.

2. Select Options.

3. Select Screen/Keyboard.

4. Change the Backlight Brightness setting to a desired level.

      The timeout choises by blackberry is really annoying. I had to get the screenlight app from the app world to be able to toggle the backlight on for longer than 2mins.
