6 Best Android Applications You Can Use On Your Nexus One
Posted under Android Tips, Blog | No CommentI’m a Motorola Droid user. I’ve grown to love the Android OS and the ability to find apps for almost anything I want to do. Nexus One users can use the same Android apps that I do. Here are a few I would recommend.
Changes your ringtone notifications based on time or where you are. When I go to work, it mutes all notifications. When I come home, it turns the volume high. Really cool!
High powered text messaging app. I like this one because it allows you to set custom ringtones for each person you get a text message from. Ssomething the Messaging app doesn’t do. It also allows you to change the LED color when you receive a text message.
I listen to lots of podcasts at work. Listen is the app I use to listen to them. Access thousands of podcasts. Manage and download them automatically so they are ready for listening.
You have to have a Twitter app. Comes in a free and high powered cost versions. I use the free one since it’s plenty for me and does what I need.
I never cared about the planets and stars, but it’s pretty cool to aim your phone up at the sky and have it tell you were Pluto is. Search for planets and constellations and Google Sky Map will lead you to where it is. This app will keep your girlfriend occupied for hours.
I like listing my tasks. ActionComplete does just that. I can schedule alarms and manage my tasks easier.
