2 Ways to Factory Hard Reset HTC Inspire 4G

Factory hard reset your HTC Inspire 4G if you wish to reset the device to factory default settings. A hard reset will erase all data from the memory of the device and return the phone to how it was when it was pulled out of the box.

Using hardware keys

This option is preferred when you can’t boot into the Android OS because of a malfunction.

1. Power the phone off.

2. Press and hold Volume Down and Power.

3. Keep holding both buttons until you see the Android logos appear on the screen.

4. Use the Volume Down button to toggle the selection and highlight Factory Reset.

5. Use the Power button to choose Factory Reset.

The HTC Inspire 4G will then complete the hard reset process. SD card data like music and photos should be preserved.

Software method

If you can boot into the device, you can use this option.

1. Tap the application slider and select the Settings app.

2. Select SD & phone storage.

3. Choose Factory data reset.

4. Select Reset phone.

5. Select Erase everything.

Ive had my HTC Inspire 4g for 15 months now, yes, to you who think your HTC phone sucks…”Bah!” To ya. Ive had NO problems in over a year on this device. I use it every waking hour. I have installed and uninstalled apps almost regularly. NEVER HAVE HAD A PROBLEM PEOPLE! I believe the operator, the person pushing the buttons, giving the device commands needs a bit of an education about, and as to the applications, capabilities and limits, of the functions you hold in your hand. ALL devices work BADLY and don’t perform well if the user doesnt understand the operations and runnings. Im not impressed when folks badger the device when they themselves are at fault for how it performs. Get real. HTC Inspire 4g is a great and highly rated phone. No problems here…

I totally agree!! I have had nothing but problems with software and hardware malfunctions ever since I bought the phone. Now less than a year later, I have had a complete hardware crash that is irrepairable. THe HTC products are indeed the most unreliable smartphone products I have ever owned. I will never buy another HTC product again!!

Hello. I have an HTC Sensation, and I have problems with my phone. It always restarts by itself and everytime I try to turn my WiFi and Bluetooth on, it won’t allow me to! Something is wrong with my phone! And I’ve tried the factory reset lots of times! It stil won’t let me do what I want it to do! Everything! I wanted to have the best phone, but all HTC brands are, I guess cheap! Their not like all the other phone brands!
